Your objective
This game is not as simple as pocketing several balls. To live and be free to be able to play another day is your main goal. To do this you must pocket all the white balls and hope you don’t anger the Princess along the way. If you win the game you will be granted nothing but allowed to go about your tasks until she desires to play with you again. You never really win anything but more time to breathe in the air that surrounds her as you make your escape plan. So good luck with that!
The Rack
The rack is in the opposite end of the table on the head spot line. This is because this is the Princesses game and everything must be her way. Racking the balls wrong can result in loss of the game. The black ball is placed in the middle similar to the American game of 8-ball. The 2 yellow balls are removed from the right and left corners and placed above to form a crown symbolic of the Princess.
The Break
You always get to break. it’s the only chance the Princess will give you to win the game. However, to win on the break you must pocket the black ball and no others. If you pocket a yellow ball then “you’re a loser” and you lose that pocket to shoot white balls into and the princess will have one less chance to grant you. If you make a white ball your turn continues.
The Princess Balls
The black and yellow balls belong to the Princess. You automatically lose if you hit one directly with the cue ball but you are allowed to hit them with the white balls. The Princess can hit any ball she wants anytime she wants and even in the middle of your turn. The Princess has three balls based on her three chances rule. If she pockets a yellow ball then you can no longer use that pocket. If she pockets the black ball you lose the round and at her option, the game will continue.
The Game
You are in a very dangerous place and playing the game of life with a Princess that likes things her way only. Your success is dependent on your skill and the Princess remaining happy and giving you the opportunity to try and win peace between you and her. If you don’t sink a white ball on the break it’s her turn. May your God be with you.
After the break, the Princess will approach the table and decides what ball to hit. The Princess has several choices including not even hitting the balls and allowing you another turn. Otherwise, she can pocket a yellow and block your usage of that pocket or simply pocket the black ball and end the round or even just end the game if she desires and in doing so making her the winner. Don’t forget to congratulate her on her glorious victory.
The only way you can continue the game is if you can pocket all 12 balls before she decides the game is over or pockets the black ball. The Blackball is made from Black stuff found in the Black Forest where the Princess was born and raised by a crazy person until the legion of Zombie warriors freed her and taught her their evil ways.
